Levantamento e análise das não-conformidades na gestão dos resíduos sólidos de serviços de saúde gerados por quatro setores de um EAS de grande porte

Abstract

The relationship between the environment and man was changed, when it ceased to be a subsistence mechanism to be a means of production, and, consequently, impacts arose. The loss of biodiversity, contamination of water, air and soil, climate change, silting up of rivers and increasing the amount of waste generated. The concern with solid waste of health service has gained evidence due to its hazardousness and the risks to the manipulator and to the environment. In order to reduce the impacts of this waste, it is of great importance to have good management of it, since it is considered an essential public interest service. This work is an analysis of the Waste Management of the Health of four sectors of an Health Care Establishment. For its better development, it was divided into three stages. The first stage is based on identifying the nonconformities present in the management, considering the disposition and removal of the infectious, common, recyclable and sharps-borne residues, and the present situation of the collectors and bags, regarding identification and maximum volume of use. In order to carry out this stage, it was necessary to use a tool, which is the Audit, and all the material for this was based on the legislation in force, mainly RDC Nº 222/18. The second step was to present and apply alternatives for improvements and ways to minimize or extinguish the non-conformities found. Then, the proposals were submitted to the Environmental Control Sector of the Institution, such as training with the nursing team, exchange of labels, implantation or removal of collectors, identification of those who did not have it. The third stage was similar to the first, that is, the performance of audits in the four sectors, with the purpose of comparing the results and evaluating the efficiency of the proposed improvements. The result was satisfactory, since all four sectors had the amount of reduced nonconformities, demonstrating that the chosen actions were efficient and reached the expected objective.
