Percepção Ambiental dos moradores e turistas em relação ao Parque Nacional Do Caparaó

Abstract

This work aimed to represent an environmental perception of the residents and visitors in relation to the Caparaó National Park. The bibliographical research pertinent to the theme, the data collection in the field with the use of a semi-structured interview was applied to the data of the municipality of Alto Caparao and tourists, tabulation and analysis of the data of the electronic planning medium. As a result, it was observed that, despite the existence of PARNA, the capacity to carry out a research into the imaginary and daily life of the residents and visitors, an inability to carry out exploratory activities inside the park, as well as causes discontent in part of city residents. On the other hand, the economic factor and the generation of direct and indirect employment created by PARNA Caparaó, especially tourism, are elements that contribute to the acceptance of the conservation unit, since the income is earned by the coffee culture, it is not sufficient to maintain the municipality. This study also showed that, despite the fact that almost 60 years have passed since its creation, there have also been conflicts of interest that have not been overcome, especially the internal rules of operation of the Park, which disconfirm its reserve for preserving the nature of have repeatedly been causing discontent of jobs that have made tourism their main source of income.
