Discípulo que aprende, mestre que dá lição: uma análise sobre o processo formativo da capoeira, na perspectiva do grupo Semente do Jogo de Angola

Abstract

This paper intends to investigate the transformations that occurred in the teaching-learning process of Capoeira Angola, within the lineage of the masters Pastinha, João Pequeno and Jogo de Dentro, approaching the formative efforts and teaching strategies of these masters. The author articulates his personal experience as a capoeirista to bibliographical research and field research, which are presented as the main methodological resources of the dissertation. The paper presents a brief historical context about Capoeira Angola, which facilitates the understanding about social and political issues that are directly related to the changes in the teaching-learning process throughout history. In analyzing the particular master’s teaching methodology, it was observed that each one presents similarities added of personal contributions, which gives it authenticity. There is also a transition in the teaching logic, which follows the path from the oitiva to the trainings, systematized and inside the academies of Capoeira Angola. Transformations that reflect the dynamic character of this tradition that, playing with time, resigns itself with each “volta ao mundo”.
