Summary:	Esta monografia trata sobre o tema da morte na ótica da Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus. Considerada por alguns autores como uma denominação de linha neopentecostal. Esta igreja, assim como outras do mesmo segmento religioso, adota a Teologia da Prosperidade como discurso e prática em que o crente é motivado por uma bênção financeira associada à fé e a doações para esta Igreja. Fundada na década de 1970, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro sob a liderança do pastor Edir Macedo, a IURD possui templos em todo o Brasil e também no exterior, além de forte atuação na TV, rádio e jornal. Esta pesquisa utilizou-se do site da Igreja Universal como veículo de abordagem do tema da morte, tão caro aos dias atuais. Considerando ser este um assunto perturbador para o cristão, embora natural e inevitável, mas que se evita falar sobre ele, interessa-nos compreendê-lo segundo o discurso da própria Universal.
Abstract:	This monograph deals with the theme of the Optical death of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God. Considered by some authors as a neo-Pentecostal denomination, this church, as well as others of the same religious segment, adopts Prosperity Theology as a discourse and practice in which the believer is motivated by a financial blessing associated with faith and gifts to this Church. Founded in the 1970s, in the city of Rio de Janeiro under the leadership of Pastor Edir Macedo, IURD has temples throughout Brazil and abroad as well as a strong presence on TV, radio and newspaper. This research was used of the site of the Universal Church as a vehicle to approach the theme of death, so dear to the present day. Considering that this is a disturbing subject for the Christian, although natural and unavoidable, but we avoid talking about it, we are interested in understanding it according to the discourse of the Universal itself.
