| Summary: | Este trabalho tem por objetivo compreender os processos políticos, econômicos e sociais que influenciam a construção do espaço urbano de Caldas Novas (GO). A imagem paradisíaca impulsiona, na contemporaneidade, o turismo de lazer, com exploração de suas águas termais. Uma simbologia espacial reforça o discurso político do maior pólo turístico de Goiás e materializa a cidade que cresce a qualquer preço. O turismo, ao mesmo tempo em que abre postos de trabalho, segrega o lado feio da cidade: os pobres e suas habitações precárias. O turismo retalha a cidade e deixa-a a mercê da especulação imobiliária. Preparar a cidade para o turista impôs a Caldas Novas um padrão arquitetônico e urbanístico que acentuou as diferenças, reforçando as características de uma cidade segregada e fragmentada. |
| Abstract: | This work has for objective to understand the political, economical and social processes that influence the construction of the urban space of Caldas Novas (GO). The paradisiacal image impels, in the present time, the leisure tourism, with the exploration of is thermal waters. A symbolic space reinforces the political speech of the largest tourist pole of Goiás and materializes the city that increases at any price. The tourism, at the same time that open job vacance, segregate the ugly side of the city: the poor and their precarious houses. The tourism slash the city and submit it to speculation. To prepare the city for the tourist imposed to Caldas Novas architectural and urban pattern that accentuated the differences, reinforcing the characteristics of a segregated and fragmented city. |
