| Summary: | Tendo em vista o profícuo campo de pesquisa na área dos Estudos Lingüísticos, elegemos para a realização da presente pesquisa a Análise do Discurso de linha francesa, com recorrência aos estudos foucaultianos sobre poder e subjetividade. Assim, esta pesquisa destinou-se a análise do romance A Caverna (2000), de José Saramago; mais especificamente, analisamos a constituição do sujeito discursivo Cipriano Algor, atentando para a relação de poder estabelecida entre ele e o Centro de Compras . Propomos como objetivo geral deste trabalho discutir como o sujeito discursivo Cipriano Algor se inscreve nesta relação de poder. Para melhor estabelecer um recorte visando à realização de nosso estudo, elencamos dois objetivos específicos: a) analisar a relação de poder como meio de subjetivação do sujeito (Cipriano Algor), mapeando no interior da obra como essa relação é construída; b) mostrar como os discursos que emergem em Cipriano possibilitam a constituição de sua subjetividade e fogem aos padrões tidos como normais para a época. Fundamentados na questão do sujeito e de como as relações de poder, perpassadas pelos discursos, corroboram para a sua constituição, defendemos a hipótese de que o sujeito discursivo Cipriano Algor constitui sua subjetividade a partir da relação de poder que é instaurada entre ele e o Centro de Compras . Mostramos ainda que no discurso de Cipriano Algor afloram elementos vindouros de outros espaços enunciativos, para sermos mais específicos, os discursos bíblico e filosófico. Em nossa análise, observamos que o sujeito da Modernidade sofre movências instauradas por lutas e embates que integram seu cotidiano. Esses conflitos são permeados pelo poder, que está imbricado em todas as relações, formando uma teia que o difunde em todas as camadas sociais. Com isso, as identidades não são fixas, havendo o que Stuart Hall (2005) denomina de mudança estrutural , o que consiste na desestabilização da imagem que o sujeito tem de si, aspecto verificado em Cipriano Algor, enquanto sujeito discursivo. |
| Abstract: | Having in perspective the proficuous research field in the area of Linguistic Studies, the French Discourse Analysis was elected for the making of this project, using the Foucaultian Studies about power and subjectivity as reference. Thus, this project has the objective of analyzing the novel A Caverna (2000) (The Cavern), by José Saramago; more specifically, the constitution of the discursive subject Cipriano Algor is analyzed, paying close attention to the relation of power established between him and the Shopping Center . The proposed general objective of this project is to discuss how the discursive subject Cipriano Algor fits into this relation of power. In order to better establish a cutout so as to do our study, two specific objectives are enhanced: a) to analyze the relation of power as a means of subjectivation of the subject (Cipriano Algor), mapping out how this relation is built throughout the book; b) to show how the discourses which emerge in Cipriano make the constitution of his subjectivity possible and differ from the standards held as normal at the time. Based on the matter of the subject and how the relations of power, shown by the discourses, corroborate to their constitution, the hypotheses that the discursive subject Cipriano Algor constitutes his subjectivity starting from the relation of power which is created between him and the Shopping Center will be defended. Another detail which is shown is that in Cipriano Algor s discourses, elements that come from other enunciative spaces come up, to be more specific, the biblical and philosophical discourses. In our analysis, we observe that the subject of Modernity suffers changes because of fights and arguments which integrate his everyday life. These conflicts are permeated by power, which is present in all relations, forming a web that diffuses it into all social levels. Hence, identities are not fixed, having what Stuart Hall (2005) calls structural change , which consists in the destabilization of the image that the subject has of himself, aspect which is verified in Cipriano Algor, as a discursive subject. |
