dc.description.abstractThis study aims to analyze the main factors influencing soybean exports from the municipality of Uberlândia-MG. To this end, the research estimates an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model using data from 2005 to 2024 to assess the relationship between macroeconomic variables and the performance of soybean exports in the municipality, with a focus on aspects such as external demand, international prices, the exchange rate, and cyclical events. In this way, the study seeks to contribute to the understanding of regional trade dynamics and the challenges associated with specialization in agricultural commodities in the municipality. The results show that Chinese demand represents the main long-run determinant of soybean exports from Uberlândia, while the other variables did not present a relevant contribution.pt_BR

dc.description.resumoEste estudo tem como objetivo analisar os principais fatores que influenciam as exportações de soja do município de Uberlândia-MG. Para isso, a pesquisa estima um modelo Autorregressivo de Defasagens Distribuídas (ARDL) com dados do período de 2005 a 2024 para avaliar a relação entre variáveis macroeconômicas e o desempenho exportador da soja no município, com foco em aspectos como demanda externa, preços internacionais, taxa de câmbio e eventos conjunturais. Deste modo, o trabalho busca contribuir para a compreensão da dinâmica comercial regional e dos desafios associados à especialização em commodities agrícolas no município. Os resultados mostram que a demanda da China representa o principal determinante de longo prazo das exportações de soja de Uberlândia, enquanto as demais variáveis não apresentaram contribuição relevante.pt_BR
