Construindo identidades: uma análise do personagem Leonardo como pessoa com deficiência e LGBTQIAP+ no filme “Hoje eu quero voltar sozinho”

Abstract

This monograph analyzes how the construction of the identities of the main character, Leonardo, is done, while Person with a Disability (PwD) and LGBTQIA+ in the movie Hoje eu quero voltar sozinho (2014). For this, the theoretical method of Williams' Cultural Studies (2005) was used, in the notions of hegemony, residual and emerging cultures. In addition, this monograph is also based on the main theories of representation, identity, gender and sexuality from Butler (2003), Hall (2006) and other authors. At first, a bibliographic review of concepts such as gender, sexuality, disability and hegemony was carried out, aiming to increase understanding of the subject. In addition, a state of the art was also elaborated, gathering research in the field of Communication, which carried out an overview of the representations given to PwDs and LGBTQIA+ in Brazilian fiction audiovisual productions over time. At the end of the work, the analyzes and considerations bring the results achieved with this research, pointing to the fluid and relational character of identity constructions and the importance of cinema to face discrimination and stereotypes.
