O verniz literário nas cartas de Ana Cristina Cesar tortuosidades de uma linguagem epistolar

Abstract

This work has as main objective to analyze letters written by Ana Cristina Cesar, highlighting passages in which she exercises her poetic diction. Most of the corpus is from the book Correspondência Incompleta, but some letters published by her were selected as well as some poetic texts were also analyzed to illustrate the writing style of Ana C. The study of selected correspondence fragments does not have the focus of biographical investigation, but of an appreciation of the aesthetic resources that the poet also uses in the letters, or some of these features. In these texts specifically, this ―process‖ occurs because, firstly, to the subject created/invented in the writing of the letters; secondly, to the perceived and assumed poetic intentionality and also, lastly, to the way it considers and gives importance to the issue of addressing. These three striking and preponderant factors in Ana Cristina Cesar's epistolary language allow the perception of the so-called "literary varnish" in the letters, which consists of the presence of some traits and features characteristic of poetry and which were ―transferred‖ to the writing of correspondence. As a theoretical basis, it was necessary to resort to authors such as Terry Eagleton, Celia Pedrosa, Leonor Arfuch, Antoine Compagnon, Silviano Santiago, Marcos Siscar, Michel Collot, Michel Foucault; among others related to the critical fortune of and about Ana Cristina, the example of Heloisa Buarque de Holanda, Luciana di Leone, Annita Costa Malufe, Flora Süssekind.
