Taekwondo: uma revisão sistemática em periódicos da educação física brasileira

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the scientific production of Taekwondo in Brazilian Physical Education journals, seeking to identify the period of greatest publication of studies, the themes addressed, and the pedagogical proposals for teaching Taekwondo in schools. To this end, a systematic literature review was conducted in national databases, using the following question: What are the themes and pedagogical proposals for Taekwondo? The databases searched were: SciELO, CAPES Periodicals Portal, LILACS, and Redalyc, at which point 12 articles were found, addressing Taekwondo in terms of health, motivation, education, aesthetics, and athletic performance. After realizing that the search in these databases yielded a limited number of studies and, at the same time, identified works in Physical Education journals that were not mapped in this search, the descriptor "Taekwondo" was entered separately in 12 journals in the field, with CAPES Qualis (A3-B3), aiming to map the productions that address the cultural, social, and pedagogical dimensions of the sport. Initially, the search identified 41 publications, and after reading the title and abstract, it was found that 14 of them did not directly address Taekwondo. Thus, 27 articles were filtered for the research sample, 4 of which had already been identified in the expanded database search. The study was anchored in a qualitative, exploratory approach, with procedures based on the PRISMA 2020 model. The results show that despite the significant number of publications on the topic, few studies delve into the teaching and learning of the martial art, especially in schools. The descriptive interpretation of the studies allowed us to understand the current state of scientific publications on Taekwondo in Brazil and to outline possible paths for further research.
