| Summary: | Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o protagonismo político de José Reinaldo de Lima a partir de suas ações, gestos e discursos dentro e fora dos campos de futebol durante a ditadura civil- militar no Brasil. É possível constatar, inicialmente, que ele utilizou da fama como artilheiro do clube Atlético Mineiro para resistir às arbitrariedades da ditadura civil- militar, defendendo a autonomia popular, a liberdade e a democracia num momento da nossa história em que as estruturas repressoras do Estado brasileiro foram mobilizadas para perseguir atletas de variadas modalidades, acusando-os de serem subversivos e ameaçadores para a ordem social. A partir da análise da entrevista dada pelo Rei ao Jornal Movimento, em março de 78, observo os efeitos gerados por concedê-la, discutindo como suas manifestações, apesar de toda repressão, contribuíram para fortalecer o movimento de resistência que se formava. Além disso, a história do Rei aqui trabalhada é uma possibilidade para o ensino de história, a partir do momento que permite analisar a ditadura civil- militar brasileira sob uma perspectiva que integra o futebol como fenômeno social e político, ao se estudar o protagonismo político do jogador de futebol José Reinaldo de Lima. |
| Abstract: | This paper aims to analyze José Reinaldo de Lima political protagonism based on his actions, gestures and speeches on and off the football pitch, during the civil-military dictatorship in Brazil. It is possible to note, initially, that he used his fame as the top scorer for the Atlético Mineiro club to resist the arbitrary actions of the civil-military dictatorship, defending popular autonomy, freedom and democracy at a time in our history when the repressive structures of the Brazilian State were mobilized to persecute athletes from various sports, accusing them of being subversive and threatening the social order. Based on the analysis of the interview given by the King to the Jornal Movimento, in march of 1978, I observe the effects generated by giving it, discussing how his demonstrations, despite all the repression, contributed to strengthening the resistance movement that was being formed. Furthermore, the story of the King discussed here becomes a possibility for teaching history, since it allows us to analyze the Brazilian civil- military dictatorship from a perspective that integrates football as a social and political phenomenon, by studying the political protagonism of the football player José Reinaldo de Lima. |
