| Summary: | O Ensino de Ciências na perspectiva da educação ambiental precisa ser analisado para descobrir a abordagem em que está sendo empregada em livros didáticos de ciências para crianças do 1º ao 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental. O livro didático é um material de apoio e organização, muito utilizado pelo professor, e nele devem estar contidos temas relacionados à Educação Ambiental de acordo com o PNLD (2023) e conforme está descrito no documento da BNCC (Brasil, 2017). Este trabalho tem como o objetivo a análise do livro didático da coleção AKPALÔ Ciências, do 1º ao 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental e como está abordado o assunto da educação ambiental e as questões propostas aos alunos. O método de pesquisa para o estudo é de natureza qualitativa. Os resultados revelam uma progressão temática e pedagógica adequada a cada faixa etária, com alinhamento às diretrizes da BNCC (Brasil, 2017) e da PNEA (Lei 9.795/99), enfatizando a formação de cidadãos conscientes e engajados com a preservação ambiental. Conclui-se que a coleção AKPALÔ Ciências possui potencial para desenvolver a consciência ecológica, embora sugira-se aprofundar temas como mudanças climáticas e fortalecer a formação continuada de professores para otimizar o uso do material didático. |
| Abstract: | Science teaching from the perspective of environmental education needs to be analyzed to discover the approach being used in science textbooks for children from the 1st to the 5th grade of Elementary School. The textbook is a support and organizational material, widely used by the teacher, and it must contain themes related to Environmental Education according to the PNLD (2023) and as described in the BNCC document (Brazil, 2017). This work aims to analyze the textbook from the AKPALÔ Science collection, for the 1st to the 5th grade of Elementary School, and how it addresses the subject of environmental education and the questions proposed to the students. The research method for the study is qualitative in nature. The results reveal a thematic and pedagogical progression appropriate to each age group, in line with the guidelines of the BNCC (Brazil, 2017) and the PNEA (Law 9.795/99), emphasizing the formation of citizens who are aware and engaged with environmental preservation. It is concluded that the AKPALÔ Sciences collection has the potential to develop ecological awareness, although it is suggested to delve deeper into topics such as climate change and strengthen the continuing education of teachers to optimize the use of teaching material. |
