Notas de um corpoterritório exercícios para uma (agro)ecologia de danças

Abstract

I have cultivated my artistic, professional, and academic processes in the converging point between dance and (agro)ecology. From this place, I have been interested in the range of creation and research proposals that intertwine nature, body, and movement - both in the rural and urban areas - tensioning, approaching, and/or re-signifying the relationship between body, environment, and space. Within this context, Notes of a bodyterritory aims to problematize, discuss, and analyze the possibilities of germinating hybrid studying perspectives, arising from the confluence between the debates about E/earth and territory, common to areas such as Social Sciences and Geography, and artistic and academic productions in contemporary dance. In this research, I suggest an approximation of the bodyterritory metaphor, used mainly by feminist geographers and environmental activists from Abya Yala, to the theoretical-practical field of contemporary dance, as a concept capable of articulating the ecological, cultural, social, political, aesthetical and epistemological diversities – and consequent disparities – that exist in this doing. This research discusses the historical foundations of the construction of Abya Yala, reflecting on its effects on how we produce, consume, and perceive what is (and who) dance(s) in the 21st century. This reflection bases its structures on authors from Agroecology, Social Sciences, Psychology, Geography, Postcolonial Studies, Practice as Research, Anthropology, and Performance, most of whom belong to the Global South. Divides into five autonomous and complementary parts, the work offers material for comming investigations around themes such as ecoperformance, body, decoloniality, movement, and creation in dance, nature, and culture, in addition to proposing the bodyterritory as a possibility of perceiving the artistic experience. With this work, I hope to contribute to the expansions of the art field, and collaborate to the set of references for future dance creations, whether academic or not. Key-words:
