| Summary: | O humor sobre a morte é uma atitude que pode ser identificada em diversas sociedades ao longo da história. A dissertação propõe refletir acerca dos modos pelos quais os sujeitos na contemporaneidade permitem-se escarnecer e brincar com um tema tão caro como a morte, apesar dos confrontos teóricos quanto a este ser ou não um tabu na sociedade ocidental atual. Para tanto, utilizando-se das tiras, charges e cartuns disponíveis na internet, busca-se pensar o contexto de produção dessas imagens, assim como entender de que modo elas refletem, enquanto representações, os medos, angústias e preocupações humanas que compõem os imaginários sociais em torno da finitude de si e do outro considerando os desafios da atualidade. |
| Abstract: | The humor about death is an attitude that can be identified in many societies throughout history. This dissertation proposes a reflection concerning the foundations on which the subjects of the contemporaneous society are allowed to sneer and mock such a delicate topic as death, despite the theoretical confrontations whether this is or not a taboo in the present western society. Therefore, making use of the comic strips and cartoons available on the internet, it is intended to search the context of production of these images, as well as understand the form in which they reflect, as representatives, the fears, the anguishes and human concerns that are part of the social image surrounding the finitude of oneself and the others considering the challenges of the present. |
