| Summary: | O presente trabalho aborda a simulação de uma rede sem fio padrão IEEE 802.11ax operando em modo infraestrutura através do software de simulação de redes NS-3 (Network Simulator – 3). A simulação realizada, tem por objetivo obter a curva de vazão de dados em Mbps em função da distância entre o terminal de usuário e o ponto de acesso, do protocolo de transporte utilizado e de variáveis como índice de modulação, intervalo de guarda e largura de banda. Para isso, foi utilizado um código que estabelece uma rede sem fio com as condições descritas, em linguagem C++ disponível no site da empresa desenvolvedora do NS-3. Através dos resultados obtidos foi constatado que a vazão depende da distância, desde que a mesma esteja dentro da área de cobertura da rede sem fio. Além disso, foi observado que a vazão é fortemente influenciada pelo intervalo de guarda entre os pacotes, pela largura de banda do canal e pelo índice MCS que diz respeito ao esquema de modulação e aos métodos de correção de erros. |
| Abstract: | This project addresses the simulation of a wireless network standard IEEE 802.11ax operating in infrastructure mode through a network simulation software NS-3 (Network Simulator - 3). The simulation aimed to obtain the data throughput curve in Mbps as a function of the distance between the user terminal and the access point, as a function of the transport protocol used and as a function of variables such as modulation index, guard interval and bandwidth. For this simulation, a code was used that establishes a wireless network with the conditions described, written in C++ language available on the website of the company that developed the NS-3. Through the results obtained, it was found that the throughput does depend on the distance, as long as it is within the coverage area of the wireless network. Furthermore, it was observed that the throughput is strongly influenced by the guard interval between packets, the channel bandwidth and the MCS index that concerns the modulation index and error correction methods. |
