dc.description.abstractAdditive Manufacturing (AM) has emerged as a promising technology in Industry 4.0, offering innovative solutions for on-demand production and optimizing industrial processes. In the food industry, this technology presents significant potential to reduce operational costs and increase efficiency in equipment maintenance. This study analyzes the technical and financial feasibility of additive manufacturing in a brewery, focusing on producing a component called the "comb" of the pasteurizer. The methodology involved the three-dimensional modeling of the part, followed by its fabrication using different materials through 3D printing, such as PLA, ABS, and Tritan, with specific parameters for each material. Additionally, comparative cost analyses and performance tests of the manufactured parts were conducted about the originals supplied by the manufacturer. The results indicated that Tritan was technically superior, offering greater thermal and mechanical resistance with a service life equivalent to the original part in the field. Financially, the production via additive manufacturing represented 18% of the cost of parts purchased from the supplier, highlighting it as a viable and economically advantageous alternative.pt_BR

dc.description.resumoA manufatura aditiva (MA) tem emergido como uma tecnologia promissora na Indústria 4.0, oferecendo soluções inovadoras para a produção de peças sob demanda e a otimização de processos industriais. No setor alimentício, essa tecnologia apresenta potencial significativo para reduzir custos operacionais e aumentar a eficiência na manutenção de equipamentos. Este trabalho analisa a viabilidade técnica e financeira da aplicação da manufatura aditiva em uma fábrica de cerveja, com foco na produção do componente chamado "pente" do pasteurizador. A metodologia envolveu a modelagem tridimensional da peça, seguida pela fabricação em diferentes materiais por meio da impressão 3D, como PLA, ABS e Tritan, utilizando parâmetros específicos para cada material. Além disso, foram realizadas análises comparativas de custos e testes de desempenho das peças fabricadas em relação às originais fornecidas pelo fabricante. Os resultados indicaram que o uso do Tritan foi tecnicamente superior, apresentando maior resistência térmica e mecânica, com vida útil equivalente à peça original em campo. Financeiramente, a produção por manufatura aditiva representou 18% do custo das peças adquiridas do fornecedor, destacando-se como uma alternativa viável e economicamente vantajosa.pt_BR
