Mapeamentos feministas: infláveis: ar, arquitetura e arte em 1960

Abstract

This research explores the political and social transformations of the 1960s and their impact on the production of counterculture, focusing on the contributions of inflatable structures made by women. Through an interdisciplinary approach and bibliographic and field research, including a review of the history of art and architecture, this thesis investigates how membranes and inflatable structures allowed for new spatial and sensory conceptions for artists Lygia Clark and Lea Lublin. Focusing on works by women and feminist thought, the relationship between art, body, and the concept of domesticity in public and private space is sought, recreating a scenario of gender debate and looking at plastic as a material of advancement. The analyses carried out contribute to the understanding of the affinities between architecture and art, the body and the city, the built space, and the nature of the works, revealing new possibilities and perspectives for artistic and architectural practice.
