Abstract

Preparing this descriptive memoir meets one of the requirements for promotion in the higher education teaching career. However, it surpasses its initial purpose by contributing to the retrieval of who I was and what I have accomplished, allowing a more accurate understanding of who I am and what I do today. This document seeks to present an integrated view of my personal journey, professional trajectory, and intellectual and theoretical path. To construct it, I delved into reminiscences of what I experienced, and theories archived in my mind, navigating through numerous readings listed in this portfolio’s References section while employing a dialectical methodology as the core of my reflections, striving to capture totalities with their inherent contradictions. There were many theoretical contributions, but the fundamental pillars were, and still are, Dialectical Historical Materialism and Theories of Social Relations of Sex and Gender.
