Mulheres na ciência: a herança do patriarcado

Abstract

The objective of the research is to discuss the different ways in which men and women are educated and inserted in academic areas, and demonstrate how the history of patriarchy affects women's careers, especially in scientific areas. The work is a narrative review of the literature, carried out to answer the guiding question: How can we perceive the differences between the forms of insertion of women and men in scientific and professional fields, and how do structures built in the past prevent radical changes from happening in these areas?; The following databases were used in the research, CAPES Periodical Portal, Virtual Health Library and SciELO.
