As inovações aplicadas ao setor de transporte: uma revisão bibliométrica

Abstract

This paper carries out a bibliometric review of technological innovations applied to the transportation sector, focusing on their intersections with the supply chain. The analysis, which covers the period from 2020 to 2024, includes emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain and big data, highlighting their potential to optimize logistics operations, reduce costs and increase sustainability. To do this, a search was made in the Web of Science database, using the keywords “Supply Chain”, “Innovation” and “Transportation”, with subsequent use of the VosViewer software for more detailed analysis. In this sense, although it was observed that the volume of research in this niche has grown significantly, the study points to the existence of important gaps that limit an integrated view of innovations in different areas of logistics and transportation. In addition, this work differs from others in that it includes recent works, produced in the post-pandemic period. The research also highlights the impact of adopting sustainable practices and intermodal transportation on increasing logistics efficiency, contributing to business competitiveness and meeting global environmental targets. Finally, it offers insights and recommendations for future research.
