As vivências afetivas de mulheres que sofreram aborto espontâneo: uma revisão narrativa

Abstract

Data SUS identified that in 2022, more than 25,000 fetal deaths were reported in Brazil, a number that has been decreasing over the years, due to medical and technological advancements. Miscarriage, or involuntary interruption of pregnancy, brings with it gestational grief, characterized by psychological suffering and unaddressed emotional experiences, highlighting the need for appropriate psychological intervention in these situations. Thus, this study aims to understand and analyze the scientific community's written production on the grief of women who experienced gestational loss from 2013 to 2023. The method employed was a narrative review based on broad and open analyses of articles addressing the grief of women who suffered miscarriage and their emotional experiences. The research was conducted through searches on the following data platforms: SciELO, PePSIC, Capes Journal Portal, BVS, and PubMed, using the keywords: grief, motherhood, miscarriage, psychology, and psychoanalysis, from which 14 studies were analyzed. Three areas were emphasized based on the analyzed articles, titled: "Emotional Experiences of Women Regarding Involuntary Interruption of Pregnancy", "Marital and Family Support Received by Women in Their Gestational Loss" and "Social and Hospital Support Received During Women's Involuntary Interruption of Pregnancy”. It is understood that literature has progressed in recent years regarding this theme, emphasizing society's lack of recognition of gestational loss.
