Summary:	A coesão é um fenômeno que, por meio do uso de diferentes elementos linguísticos, possibilita a conexão de diferentes ideias e, portanto, de diferentes partes dos textos orais e escritos. Essa importante propriedade do texto é estabelecida mediante a mobilização de recursos tanto lexicais quanto gramaticais da língua. Levando em conta essas informações, neste trabalho, à luz da Linguística Textual, representada por Halliday e Hasan (1976), Antunes (2005) e Gonçalves (2000), dentre outros autores, verificamos como a coesão lexical, com ênfase na reiteração, é construída em textos opinativos esportivos, mais especificamente em artigos de opinião sobre o Brasileirão 2023. Nesse percurso teórico-metodológico, verificamos, também, como os tipos de reiteração presentes nos textos são utilizados como estratégia textual pelos articulistas e como esses tipos, além de garantir a rede coesiva, enriquecem a argumentação. O corpus desta pesquisa é composto por 34 artigos de opinião retirados de dois grandes jornais brasileiros: Folha de S. Paulo e O Globo. As análises mostraram forte presença da coesão lexical por reiteração nos artigos de opinião selecionados, em especial as reiterações por repetição e por sinonímia, e revelaram como recursos de ordem lexical podem ser usados como estratégia para manter a coesão e reforçar os principais pontos de vista dos articulistas. Esses resultados nos permitem concluir que a coesão lexical por reiteração se destaca como fator estratégico na elaboração de textos de opinião.
Abstract:	Cohesion is a phenomenon which, through the use of different linguistic elements, makes it possible to connect different ideas and, therefore, different parts of oral and written texts. This important property of the text is established by using both lexical and grammatical language resources. Taking this information into account, in this work, in the light of Textual Linguistics, represented by Halliday and Hasan (1976), Antunes (2005) and Gonçalves (2000), among other authors, we verified how lexical cohesion, with an emphasis on reiteration, is constructed in sports opinion texts, more specifically in opinion articles about the Brasileirão 2023. Along this theoretical-methodological path, we also verified how the types of reiteration present in the texts are used as a textual strategy by the writers and how these types, in addition to guaranteeing the cohesive network, enrich the argument. The corpus of this research consists of 34 opinion articles taken from two major Brazilian newspapers: Folha de S. Paulo and O Globo. The analysis showed a strong presence of lexical cohesion by reiteration in the selected opinion articles, especially reiteration by repetition and synonymy, and revealed how lexical resources can be used as a strategy to maintain cohesion and reinforce the main points of view of the writers. These results allow us to conclude that lexical cohesion by reiteration stands out as a strategic factor in the elaboration of opinion texts.
