Summary:	O futebol é uma grande paixão dos brasileiros, como lazer ou trabalho. O objetivo do presente Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso é mostrar como o futebol pode ser usado como recurso didático para o ensino de matemática, especialmente no ensino da equação de segundo grau. Para isso, fizemos uma pesquisa durante as disciplinas de Estágio Supervisionado em três escolas públicas de Uberlândia - MG, onde, nas aulas regidas pelo pesquisador, foi exposto aos alunos do ensino fundamental e médio como a matemática está inserida no futebol e em outras áreas da vida e eles foram orientados a resolver exercícios de equação de segundo grau que envolviam matemática e futebol, e os resultados foram bastante satisfatórios, pois vimos o aumento do interesse dos estudantes pela matemática. O uso de um conteúdo do cotidiano dos estudantes se mostrou uma ferramenta válida para a abordagem em sala de aula.
Abstract:	Soccer is a great passion for Brazilians, whether for leisure or work. The objective of this Course Completion Work is to show how soccer can be used as a teaching resource for teaching mathematics, especially in teaching the quadratic equation. To this end, we carried out research during supervised internship subjects in three public schools in Uberlândia - MG, where, in classes taught by the researcher, elementary and high school students were exposed to how mathematics is included in soccer and other areas of soccer, life and they were instructed to solve quadratic equation exercises involving mathematics and football, and the results were quite satisfactory, as we saw an increase in students' interest in mathematics. The use of content from students' daily lives proved to be a valid tool for the classroom approach.
