Um conto de itinerários e territórios inspirado pelos Sona angolanos

Abstract

In this Memorial, presented to the Institute of Exact and Natural Sciences of Pontal of the Federal University of Uberlândia as a partial requirement for the promotion of the Class of Associate Professor IV to the Class of Full Professor of the Higher Teaching Career, I share itineraries traced and territories trodden/(re)visited that constituted my personal and academic trajectories, inspiring me in a striking element of Angolan culture, specifically the Ckowe people – the Sona.Getting to know Sona's art helped me, at a certain point in my life as a researcher, to change my perspective and to search for untold and invisible stories. In this way, I will share my itineraries from the Sona (lusona – in singular) of friendship, composed of eight points that are surrounded by a single line. Hence my inspiration for the structure of the Memorial, comprising the following itineraries. In the First Itinerary – Territories of childhood and adolescence, I share my experiences, since my birth, in Rio de Janeiro, passing through Angra dos Reis, Macapá, Belo Horizonte, Betim and Juiz de Fora, arriving at the choice for the undergraduate degree in Mathematics in the licentiate modality.In the Second Itinerary – Academic Territories, I narrate from my initial training to the end of the post-doctoral period at the Faculty of Education of the University of São Paulo.Finally, in the Third Itinerary – Professional Territories, I present my professional performance, from my first classes in basic education to the present day, together with the Federal University of Uberlândia.Despite being inspired by the trajectories of the lusona of friendship and its trajectories that close in a line, many other points that involved my trajectory are yet to be closed.Therefore, throughout the text of this Memorial, our lusona will be open for future itineraries, for the experience in new territories.
