| Summary: | O estudo teve como objetivo compreender como as mulheres deram significado para a experiência simultânea de um câncer durante a gestação. Há um aumento na incidência desses casos, associado à tendência da maternidade tardia, momento de vida com maior risco de desenvolvimento de neoplasias. É uma pesquisa qualitativa, realizada a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas e análise temática dos dados, levando em consideração as histórias de vida de duas mulheres participantes. As entrevistas foram transcritas na íntegra, textualizadas e transcriadas. Os resultados e discussões expõem as trajetórias das entrevistadas, destacando a descoberta do câncer e da gravidez; o enfrentamento, incluindo o tratamento, o misto de emoções e a rede de apoio; e o amadurecimento e transformação resultantes dessas experiências. O estudo oferece uma visão crítica e reflexiva sobre as complexidades enfrentadas por mulheres nessa situação, fomentando o aprimoramento do cuidado em saúde. |
| Abstract: | The objective of this paper was to understand how women found meaning for the simultaneous experience of developing cancer during the gestation period. There is an increase in these cases, associated with late childbearing, during the life period with the highest risk of neoplastic developments. It is a qualitative research, made from semi-structured interviews and a thematic analysis of the data, taking into consideration the life history of two female participants. The interviews were transcribed integrally, textualized and transcreated. The results and discussions show the path followed by the interviewees, focusing the moment of the discovery of the cancer and the pregnancy; the coping, including the treatment, the mix of emotions and the support web; and the maturing and transformations after the experiences. The study offers a critical and reflexive view about the complexities faced by women in this situation, promoting an improvement in healthcare. |
