"Bem-vindo! É a sua primeira vez com o BTS?!" (어서 와!!! 방탄은 처음이지?!) Uma análise histórica da juventude contemporânea por meio do K-Pop/K-Music

Abstract

This paper aims to understand the identity processes of contemporary youth, their forms of expression and action in relation to work, school and the internet. Korean K-Pop and K-Music, specifically the songs and music videos of the male group BTS (방탄소년단), will be the focus of analysis to understand how these young people are acting in contemporary society. As this is a relevant topic for the globalized youth of the 21st century, the problems encountered in Korea seem to be similar to those of other countries, such as Brazil. In this search, we evoke theoretical suggestions related to musical taste and consumption of music and culture found in the path of historical investigation. The cultural analyses of space and use of cultural territories by young people contained in the researches of the Centre for Contemporary Cultural Studies (CCCS) at the University of Birmingham also influenced the construction of this work, as well as the studies in Brazil of the concept ‘Musical Scene’, the concept of hybridization and cultural accommodation by Peter Burke, besides important names for the discussion of History such as Marc Bloch, Walter Benjamin and Hannah Arendt. The intention of this work is not to conclude a thought about who this youth is through BTS (방탄소년단), but rather, through the analysis of BTS’s musical works, to perceive and feel how contemporary youth expression is constituted between the traditions and patterns of the past, to form themselves using their potential for renewal: claims for freedom, utopias and dilemmas of contemporary historical subjects.

이 논문은 현대 청년의 정체성 과정, 일, 학교 및 인터넷과 관련된 표현 및 행동 형태를 이해하고자 한다. 한국의 K-Pop 과 K-Music, 특히 남성 그룹 BTS (방탄소년단)의 노래와 뮤직 비디오는 이러한 젊은이들이 현대 사회에서 어떻게 행동하고 있는지 이해하기 위한 분석의 초점이 될 것이다. 이는 21 세기 세계화된 청년에게 관련된 주제이기 때문에 한국에서 발견된 문제들은 다른 나라들, 예를 들어 브라질과 비슷한 것으로 보인다. 이 검색에서 우리는 역사적 조사의 경로에서 발견된 음악 취향과 음악 및 문화 소비와 관련된 이론적 제안을 제시한다. 버밍엄 대학교 현대 문화 연구 센터(CCCS)의 연구에 포함된 젊은이들의 문화 영역 공간과 사용에 대한 문화 분석도 이 작업의 구성에 영향을 미쳤으며, 브라질에서 ‘음악 장면’ 개념, 피터 버크의 혼성화 및 문화 적응 개념뿐만 아니라 마르크 블로흐, 월터 벤야민, 한나 아렌트와 같은 역사 논의에 중요한 이름들도 그러하다. 이 작업의 의도는 BTS (방탄소년단)를 통해 이 청년들이 누구인지에 대한 생각을 결론짓는 것이 아니라, BTS의 음악 작품을 분석함으로써 과거의 전통과 패턴 사이에서 구성되는 현대 청년 표현을 인식하고 느끼는 것이다. 갱신 가능성: 자유, 유토피아 및 현대 역사 주체의 딜레마를 주장한다
