“Ao estado da inundação”: o conto do náufrago e as representações da água no Egito antigo

Abstract

n this article, it’s intended to comprehend the convergencies between religion and literary production through an example of ancient text: the Egyptian tale of the Shipwrecked Sailor. To achieve so, it’s necessary to analyze the role designated to the element of water on Egyptian cosmogonies as natural disasters water-related are present on said story. The water will serve as a starting point to help understand two cultural aspects of the Egyptian civilization: the religious – throughout the cosmogonies – and the literary. As for the Bachelor of Education’s requirements, it is important to insert in the discussion not only the study object and it’s methods of interpretation but also, it’s possible employments inside classrooms. As such, it will be brought to light the space occupied by Ancient East History in schools and an example of ancient source’s application developed in a teaching activity in a Youth and Adult Education class at the Escola de Educação Básica of Federal University of Uberlândia.
