A insuficiência do estado e a inserção do terceiro setor no hospital do câncer em Uberlândia/MG

Abstract

The absence of effective public policies in the current Brazilian scenario has made it difficult for users to access health services. This insufficiency of the State has harmed the cancer patient at every stage of the process, from diagnosis to the end of treatment. To mitigate the impact, the State seeks alternatives through privatization and outsourcing of its functions in health, claiming inability in its operationalization for a comprehensive care, with that the general objective of this work is to identify the obligation of the State in the maintenance of public policies , mainly in the health area, pointing out the specific objectives: to understand how this insufficiency is presented in the Hospital de Clínicas of the Federal University of Uberlândia in the sector specialized in oncology and to reflect on how the Third Sector acts in a complementary way in the popularly known as Cancer Hospital of Uberlândia-MG. To carry out this study, documentary and bibliographical research was used through participant observation, which allows direct contact with the experienced reality. It is concluded with this study that the Third Sector often acts not only in a complementary way, but also as a fundamental way for comprehensive and quality care in the mandatory health service of the Unified Health System (SUS).
