| Summary: | Os opioides estão muito presentes na rotina veterinária, e com o uso indiscriminado destes medicamentos podem ser observados muitos efeitos indesejáveis, como êmese, depressão cardiorrespiratória, liberação de histamina, dependência e a promoção de hiperalgesia. Como método alternativo à utilização destes, propõe-se o uso de um adjuvante analgésico, o sulfato de magnésio, que por sua vez é um antagonista dos receptores NMDA que atenua a sensibilização central. O presente trabalho objetiva realizar avaliar o uso de sulfato de magnésio como adjuvante anestésico no tratamento antinociceptivo em cadelas submetidas à ovariossalpingohisterectomia, avaliando o efeito analgésico do sulfato de magnésio no transoperatório e determinando qual a melhor dose de acordo com os protocolos propostos. |
| Abstract: | Opioids are very present in the veterinary routine, and with the indiscriminate use of these drugs, many undesirable effects can be observed, such as emesis, cardiorespiratory depression, histamine release, dependence and the promotion of hyperalgesia. As an alternative method to using these, we propose the use of an analgesic adjuvant, magnesium sulfate, which in turn is an NMDA receptor antagonist that attenuates central sensitization. Therefore, the study is justified by the relevance of the subject, given the importance of always improving the quality of anesthesia. |
