Abstract

Graduated in Forest Engineering (Federal University of Viçosa, 1983); Master's in Agronomy/Phytopathology (Federal University of Viçosa, 1988); PhD in Agronomy/Phytopathology (University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, 1997). He was a professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria, in Santa Maria, RS, at the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry Engineering, in Garça, SP, and at the State University of Goiás, in Ipameri, GO. Since 2003 he has been a professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia. He teaches classes in the undergraduate course in Agronomy and in the Graduate Program in Agronomy. Master's and PhD advisor. Coordinator of the Silviculture Laboratory at UFU. He has published in scientific journals in partnership with several national and international researchers. He has experience in the areas of Phytopathology and Forestry Resources and Forestry Engineering, with an emphasis on Afforestation and Reforestation, working mainly on the following topics: Eucalyptus, rubber tree, teak, African mahogany, other species of economic interest, silicon in agriculture and epidemiology of forest diseases. .
