Enfrentamentos de raça e sexualidade nas narrativas de Dolores Dala Guardião do Alívio (DDGA), de Rico Dalasam

Abstract

The research seeks to understand how race and sexuality provoke tensions in the narratives of the songs on the album Dolores Dala Guardião do Alívio (DDGA), by Rico Dalasam. The rapper's artistic trajectory constitutes a chain of cultural manifestations of the last decade that tension debates of race, gender identity and sexual expression. The work starts from the perspectives of narrative and culture and uses theoretical perspectives on black men and on homosexualities to analyze the tracks Não é Comigo, Última Vez, Vividir and Estrangeiro. We understand that DDGA presents narratives by Rico Dalasam as a Black, homosexual and Brazilian man about confrontations experienced by him in his affective relationships with white partners. We realize that such confrontations are not only part of a daily basis, but also carry traces of historical processes of violence and that the artist shows himself to be a Black subject who is an agent of change in his own reality when he decides to end such relationships. We question both the affective possibilities of Black and homosexual men and Bixa-Pretas in interracial or afrocentered relationships, as well as the condition of relief, suggesting that such subjects can reach other affective condictions that bring potential to life.
