Entre povos e fronteiras: as relações interétnicas dos sítios arqueológicos do rio Mogi-Guaçu e do Centro-norte paulista.

Abstract

The Paulista North Center has been the center of numerous archeological discoveries considered intricate. Thinking that the word “intricate” for the acheological traditions is often disregarded, we will observe the materials found around the region of Pirassununga/ SP, whose presence of the Mogi Guaçu river brought great conditions for the migration and occupation of the indigenous people; therefore we can see the development of a contact network between the indigenous groups that inhabitaded the paulista north center from the XVII-XIX century. Dividing our work in three parts: firstly we have an archeological analyses of the site, them we have an antropological description of the region, and last we have the interpretation of the historical documents from São Paulo’s state. This paper, in summary, intends to analyse with the use of interdisciplinarity the several ways in which this intricated network was built.
