O movimento legal design: uma proposta ética e estética de um direito para o futuro

Abstract

The present work has as its object the study of legal design as an area of legal knowledge that relates law, technology and design. In this sense, it makes an exemplary digression on several sectors that have been affected by technological changes, highlighting the emergence of new legal professions, as well as new ways of dealing with the Law. Based on a critical perspective, it also seeks to demonstrate how the digital revolution is not, by itself, capable of producing a greater democratization of law, which requires a cultural transformation. This transformation takes place from the articulation of law as a technology constituted by language and, in this sense, the work presents the legal design as a way to transform legal knowledge into knowledge consistent with the needs stipulated by society. The work also digresses on Brazilian regulations related to legal design and visual law. As well as performs an analysis about the actions promoted by the Law and Design Lab at Stanford University.
