Flexibilização da posse de armas e feminicídio: possível relação com o crescimento do número de vítimas fatais de violência doméstica

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the first decrees signed by President Jair Bolsonaro, in the first half of 2019, regarding a clear intention to make arms ownership more flexible in the country. The study will be based on the hypothesis that the flexibilization will hap-pen and will seek to understand the possible consequences that this flexibilization could have in the reality of feminicide in the country, especially as a consequence of a situa-tion of domestic violence. The president’s footsteps on this theme will be contextualized and the Disarmament Statute will be mentioned, as well as the context that led to its creation, since it is essential to address it with regard to the possession of weapons. It will also be analyzed the situation of violence that Brazilian woman is victim, trying to understand the different forms that it can assume, as well as understand that the vio-lence is a reflection of a patriarchal and macho society. An analysis of femicide also will be made, what has been recently typified in the Brazilian Penal Code by law. It will be done an analyze of the historical development of Women's Protection Legislation, as well as an understanding of the qualifier and the importance of special regulation of this crime. Finally, will be analyze the possible consequences that a flexibilization of the pos-session of weapons could represent in a context of domestic violence, aggravation the situation of femicide in the country.
