Proposta de melhoria sobre endereçamento e codificação no estoque de uma empresa familiar de utensílios de alumínios

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the stock of a family company of utensils for aluminum frames in Uberlândia city, making a proposal to improve storage and addressing. For the purposes of conceptual expansion, it was necessary to carry out a theoretical study about business logistics, material storage and the WMS system, as well as location and addressing in stocks. The investigation of the environment took place through the case study methodology, consisting in the use of questionnaires and direct observations for data collection, making it possible to understand the critical points of the stock and thus suggest proposals for improvements for the company. Initially, it was suggested the analysis of the ABC curve and inventory turnover, average inventory and inventory coverage of the ten items that have the highest outputs to adapt the layout in relation to the movement of these items. Then, it was adopted an addressing system to more easily locate the materials, an issuing of separation order to assist in the separation and a redefinition of the functions of stockists.
