| Summary: | O enxerto cutâneo em malha é uma técnica bastante utilizada em cirurgias reconstrutivas na medicina veterinária. As indicações para este procedimento são lesões cutâneas extensas onde não é possível promover uma oclusão primaria. Uma das vantagens de se utilizar essa técnica é a diminuição do tempo da cicatrização, minimizando os riscos de infecção da injuria. O presente estudo relata o caso de um felino que deu entrada no Hospital Veterinário da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia com um quadro de necrose cutânea expansiva em membro pélvico esquerdo após atropelamento, levando a uma lesão em desenluvamento da porção distal da tíbia até o metatarso. Após controle da infecção e a formação de leito de tecido de granulação, o defeito foi ocluído com enxerto cutâneo em malha, apresentando excelente resultado. |
| Abstract: | The mesh skin graft is a technique widely used in reconstructive surgery in veterinary medicine. Indications for this procedure are extensive skin lesions where it is not possible to promote primary occlusion. One of the advantages of using this technique is the reduction in healing time, minimizing the risk of infection from the injury. The present study reports the case of a feline that was admitted to the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal University of Uberlândia with expansive skin necrosis in the left pelvic limb after being run over, leading to a degloving lesion from the distal portion of the tibia to the metatarsal. After controlling the infection and forming a bed of granulation tissue, the defect was occluded with a mesh skin graft. Showing excellent results |
