| Summary: | A alta incidência de feridas cutâneas em animais, associada à importância de uma pele íntegra na manutenção da homeostasia corporal, levam à constante busca de materiais para o uso no tratamento dessas. Sendo assim, este estudo tem como objetivo avaliar os efeitos da membrana de colágeno não desnaturado na cicatrização de feridas cutâneas induzidas experimentalmente em ratos Wistar. Após a ressecção de um fragmento de pele, os animais foram divididos em três grupos: controle, tratado com água ultrapura e tratado com a membrana de colágeno não desnaturado. Quinze dias após a cirurgia, os animais foram submetidos à eutanásia e a região da ferida foi coletada para análise histológica. Os resultados mostraram que o grupo tratado com a membrana de UC-II obteve um reparo tecidual acelerado, comparado aos demais grupos, mostrando uma rápida reepitelização e redução do infiltrado linfoplasmocitário, assim como a presença de tecido cicatricial já no 10° dia do curso de tratamento. Através destes dados, foi possível confirmar a eficácia da membrana de UC-II no tratamento de feridas cutâneas. |
| Abstract: | High incidence of skin wounds in animals in conjunction with the importance of an unimpaired skin in the maintenance of body homeostasis lead to constant search for skin treatment materials. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of undenatured collagen membrane in healing of experimental induced skin wounds in Wistar rats. After the resection of a skin fragment, the animals were divided in three groups: control, treated with ultrapure water and treated with undenatured collagen membrane. Fifteen days after surgery, the animals were submitted to euthanasia and the lesion region was collected for histological analysis. Results showed that the group treated with UC-II membrane obtained an accelerated tissue repair compared to the other groups, showing a quick reepithelization and decrease of lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate, as well as presence of cicatricial tissue at day 10 of the treatment. Through these data, it was possible to acknowledge the efficacy of UC-II membrane in skin wound treatment. |
