Ensaios do irrepresentável: a mulher-mãe na cena incestuosa

Abstract

The understanding about maternal subjectivation in face of incestuous sexual violence perpetrated against their children is a rarely explored field in the area of health, human and social sciences. The obscurity of the theme can be transposed to the absence of possible spaces for women-mothers and to the dissemination of meanings that fall upon them. In this sense, the present research sought to analyze what escapes those simplistic representations that fall upon the mother of a child in a situation of incestuous sexual violence perpetrated by the stepfather. The course was engendered in the possibility of weaving reflections about the woman-mother through a psychoanalytic approach, in an attempt to explore the signifiers of what is unrepresentable. Questions about what would be the unconscious organizations of the mother-woman, marks, traces, and affective records, guided the paths taken. Thus, the objective of this research was to analyze the process of subjectivation and the psychic constitution of the woman-mother of a child submitted to incestuous sexual violence, specifically the affections and trials involved when facing the experience of violence and the meanings attributed to this experience. To do so, the interpretative method of psychoanalytic research was used, with clinical reports of the sessions and case analysis. The transferential experience allowed us to identify the barriers of the woman-mother in the face of violent dynamics: the incestuous sexual violence against her daughter and the violence that was part of her own history. The obstacles of the woman-mother in accessing her daughter's suffering pointed out her difficulties in symbolizing and representing her own suffering. Throughout the meetings, the imaginary supremacy could give way to the symbolic, through the history of the body and its subjective fractures. The imaginary discourses, in their attempts at phallic inscription of the female jouissance, do not access what is beyond what is socially established: the pulsional elements of the woman that are not exhausted in maternity. Thus, listening can encourage women-mothers to reflect on their own stories, so that they can break with repetitions and exercise a caring function when faced with violent dynamics in which the physical and psychological integrity of their children is threatened.
