Consulpsi: relato de experiência da implantação de uma empresa júnior de psicologia

Abstract

Although historically, Psychology as a science and profession is guided by plurality, traditionally, its teaching and practice are marked by clinical and individualistic bias. This context has a direct impact on efforts to expand learning methods and spaces within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), especially public ones. The Junior Enterprise (JE) has as a striking feature to be a space that allows the students to develop skills in practice, but there is strong resistance in its implementation in the Psychology field. The objective of this work is to report the experience of implementation of a JE in a Psychology course of a public HEI. The creation process of Consulpsi, which is the JE covered in this report, took about a year and a half. Considering the institutional guidelines, in the case of this JE, three stages were followed for its implementation: elaboration of the project, foundation, and regulation. The results of this study converge with the literature, showing Psychology tends to suppress learning initiatives that are not aimed at its clinical bias, which makes it difficult to implement projects such as the JE. For a positive outcome, it is of utmost importance that the initiative comes from the students, as well as the participation of a tutor teacher from the conception of the project. It is hoped this experience report will be useful in the sense of presenting the bases for the creation of JEs, to enable and encourage its adoption in other institutions and programs.
