Contador e administrador: um estudo mútuo sobre os estereótipos

Abstract

The present study aimed to verify the perception of the stereotype of the administrator and the student of administration in the view of the students of the Accounting course. Through the application of a questionnaire developed by Carvalho Junior (2015) and adapted for this research, an analyzed sample of 51 students. As for the methodology, it is classified as quantitative and descriptive with a test run of means. The results point to the lack of a gender stereotype, and for most respondents, the administrator is essential for the growth of associations. The predominant characteristic in the view of Accounting students before the administrator and students of administration was the figure of "leader". Among the assertions about the respondents' perception of administrators, the assertion that “they develop an important job for the growth of companies”, was the one with the highest average score attributed. In general, the perception of students in the Accounting Sciences course is positive in relation to administrators and students in the area and, in this sense, this research contributes to the positive relationship perceived between both professions, demonstrating the importance of synergy and teamwork.
