Os desafios encontrados pelas(os) alunas(os) do curso de Serviço Social para a construção do conhecimento científico

Abstract

This article has as its object of study the challenges faced by students of the Social Work course for the construction of scientific knowledge. Discussed the challenges faced by students of the Social Work course in view of the deficiencies of elementary and high school teaching in reading and interpreting text at the Federal University of Uberlândia. It was assumed that elementary and high school teaches little incentive for reading and interpreting text. The general objective was to seek how the deficiencies arising from public education affect the production of scientific knowledge. While the specifics were to verify the difficulties encountered by the students of the Social Work course to produce scientific knowledge, to characterize the profile of the students and what are the challenges in the elaboration of the course conclusion work. The scenario was the Federal University of Uberlândia FACES-UFU. The research participants were 6 students from the 5 th, 6 th and 8 th periods who attended the Research Methods in Social Work and CBT disciplines. It was understood that these students coming from the public school enter Universities with great learning deficits, mainly in leaving common sense knowledge, to which they were accustomed and relating what they observe in the empirical reality with the scientific knowledge that they require in addition to the methods, scientific techniques and norms, interpretation of reality, analysis of the situation he is not used to.
