| Summary: | Durante o desenvolvimento embrionário dos membros, podem ocorrer falhas ou mutações, que resultam em anomalias na formação óssea e de tecidos moles. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi relatar uma malformação congênita em uma cadela. O animal, sem raça definida, de aproximadamente 60 dias de idade, foi atendido no Hospital Veterinário da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. No exame clínico foi possível constatar a deformidade e a separação parcial de tecidos moles e ossos no antebraço e mão de membro esquerdo, porém foi observado que o animal era capaz de apoiar-se no membro afetado. O exame radiográfico confirmou o afastamento ósseo entre rádio e ulna, carpo radial e carpo intermédio, metacarpo l e metacarpo ll e 1° e 2° dígitos. Após avaliação, foi indicada a realização de correção cirúrgica da deformidade, porém a tutora optou por não realizar o tratamento |
| Abstract: | Failure and mutation may occur during the process of embryogenesis, which can result to a bone tissue and soft tissue formation anomaly. The present study aimed to report a congenital anomaly in a female dog. A mixed breed dog, approximately 60 days old, attended at the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal University of Uberlândia. During the clinical examination it was possible to verify soft tissues and bones deformity and partial separation on the left limb forearm and hand, however it was observed that the animal was able to stand on the affected limb. The radiographic exam validated the distancing of radio-ulnar, radial and intermediate carpal bones, I and II metacarpus, 1º and 2º digits. After evaluation, surgical repair of the deformity was recommended, but the owner chose not to carry the treatment. |
