| Summary: | Introdução: O conceito de saúde, segundo Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS), é o conjunto de bem estar físico, psíquico e mental. Espiritualidade é a busca pessoal por discernimento de respostas em referência a vida, religiosidade é a prática religiosa, ir em igreja e seguir doutrinas. Religiosidade e espiritualidade contribuem no processo de recuperação e protetora. Objetivo: Verificar a influência da espiritualidade e religiosidade em dependentes químicos. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, na base dados: LILASC - Sistema Latino-Americano e do Caribe de Informação em Ciências da Saúde; MEDLINE - Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online; BDENF - Base de dados de Enfermagem, compreendendo o período de 2009 a 2019. Resultados: Revisados nas bases de dados 11 artigos, percebe-se uma significativa influência da espiritualidade e religiosidade, de forma protetora e como suporte para enfrentar o tratamento de dependência química. O bem-estar espiritual está relacionado nos cuidados com o paciente, abordando de forma holística. A formação acadêmica tem-se percebido um déficit no conteúdo espiritual. Conclusão: Diante dos resultados apresentados, a espiritualidade/religiosidade são fatores de influência positiva para os dependentes químicos sob tratamentos e proteção para indivíduos vulneráveis, visando a necessidade da implementação da disciplina na formação acadêmica. | Abstract: | Introduction: The concept of health, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), is the set of physical, psychological and mental well-being. Spirituality is a personal searcher for discerning answers in reference to life, religiosity is religious practice, in church and follows doctrines. Religiosity and spirituality contribute to the recovery and protection process. Objective: To verify the influence of spirituality and religiosity on drug addicts. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, based on data: LILASC - Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Information System; MEDLINE - Online Medical Literature Analysis and Recovery System; Nursing database, covering the period from 2009 to 2019. Results: In this review, 11 articles were found, after a reading and analysis. The influence of spirituality and religiosity was significant, acting in a protective way for sensitive individuals and as a support in the treatment of chemical dependence. Spiritual well-being must be treated in patient care holistically. However, it was found to dictate in academiceducation regarding spirituality and its relationship with mental health. Conclusion: Spirituality / religion are factors of positive influence for drug addicts under treatment and provide protection for the mental health of vulnerable people, requiring the integration of this content in the academic training of health professionals.
