| Summary: | A partir de um estudo de caso sobre o recrutamento e utilização de menores pelas Forças Armadas Revolucionárias da Colômbia (FARCs) e outros exércitos ilegais da Colômbia, o presente artigo busca discutir a tipificação da Criança-Soldado em instituições internacionais a partir de um estudo sobre o Protocolo Facultativo para a Convenção sobre os Direitos das Crianças (2000). Ademais, utilizando-se de uma pesquisa exploratória direta, é proposta a discussão sobre a tipificação cujas bases são alicerçadas em uma matriz ocidental e liberal das instituições internacionais à luz de um debate decolonial, trazendo as limitações da retórica de proibição da prática de Crianças-Soldado. |
| Abstract: | Based on a case study about the recruitment and utilization of children by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARCs) and other illegal armed forces in Colombia, this article looks to discuss the typification around Child-Soldiers by international organizations based on a study about the Facultative Protocol for the Convention about Children Rights (2000). Furthermore, using a direct exploratory research, a discussion is proposed about the typification whose foundations are anchored in a western and liberal matrix of International Relations in light of the colonial debate, bringing the limitations of the rhetorical prohibition of Child-Soldier’s usage. |
