Resumo
Este ensaio de pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar as motivações e reações dos discentes das turmas da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) às questões da Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática das Escolas Públicas (OBMEP). Para isso, foi realizada uma investigação em uma escola da rede pública federal de ensino, com turmas do 6º ao 9º do ensino fundamental da referida modalidade de ensino, na cidade de Uberlândia, no Estado de Minas Gerais. Metodologicamente, ofertou-se oficinas planejadas e organizadas, propondo a participação desses discentes para preparação para as provas da OBMEP. As oficinas tinham o intuito de incentiva–los com a matemática, por intermédio de pesquisas da seleção e resolução de questões do banco de dados da OBMEP. Com este trabalho, foram obtidos resultados significativos em relação às reações dos alunos da EJA diante das atividades relacionadas, constatados por meio das análises de respostas aos questionários.
Abstract
This research study aimed to investigate the motivations and reactions of students in the classes of youth and adult education (EJA) to the questions of the Brazilian Mathematical Olympics of public schools (OBMEP). For this, an investigation was carried out in a school of the federal public education network, with classes from 6th to 9th elementary School in the aforementioned teaching modality, in the city of Uberlândia, in the state of Minas Gerais. Methodologically, planned and organized workshops were offered, proposing the participation of these students to prepare for the OBMEP tests. The workshops were aimed at encouraging them with mathematics, through research on the selection and resolution of issues of the OBMEP database. With this work, significant results were obtained in relation to the reactions of the EJA in view of the related activities, verified through the analysis of answers to the questionnaires.
