| Summary: | Para pacientes que perdem seus dentes e se tornam edêntulos totais, existem diversos tratamentos disponibilizados atualmente. Sabe-se que a prótese total, principalmente a inferior, ainda representa um desafio imenso para muitos profissionais e um martírio na vida de muitos usuários. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi relatar passo a passo da construção de overdenture imediata mandibular, com acompanhamento e avaliação da qualidade de vida relacionada à saúde bucal, o grau de satisfação, análise radiográfica peri-implantar e a força mastigatória do paciente portador de a prótese total inferior muco suportada e implanto retida com instalação imediata e sistema barra-clipe e prótese total superior muco suportada. A paciente T.P.S, de 70 anos de idade, edêntula total, obteve reabilitação com as próteses totais anteriormente citadas, recebendo um acompanhamento inicial, de 3 meses, 6 meses e um ano a partir do pós operatório da instalação dos implantes. A metodologia foi padronizada e envolveu a realização de planejamento reverso e o uso de guias radiográficos e cirúrgicos para planejamento e instalação dos implantes na região anterior da mandíbula e análise da qualidade de vida (OHIP), satisfação do paciente-Escala Visual Analógica (EVA) e performance mastigatória. As conclusões obtidas foram que a utilização de implantes osseointegrados, mesmo que em pequena quantidade contribui positivamente para a melhor adaptação, aceitação, conforto e performance das próteses removíveis totais. |
| Abstract: | For patients who lose their teeth and become total edentulous, there are several treatments available today. It is known that the total prosthesis, especially the lower one, still represents an immense challenge for many professionals and a martyrdom in the life of many users. The objective of the present study was to report step by step the construction of immediate mandibular overdenture, with accompaniment and evaluation of the quality of life related to oral health, degree of satisfaction, peri-implant radiographic analysis and masticatory force of the patient with the prosthesis total lower mucus supported and retained implant with immediate installation and bar-clip system and total superior prosthesis supported mucus. The patient T.P.S, 70 years of age, total edentulous, obtained rehabilitation with the total dentures previously mentioned, receiving an initial follow-up, of 3 months, 6 months and one year after the postoperative implant installation. The methodology was standardized and involved the reverse planning and the use of radiographic and surgical guides for the planning and installation of implants in the anterior region of the mandible and analysis of the quality of life (OHIP), patient satisfaction - Visual Analogue Scale (VSA) and masticatory performance. The conclusions reached were that the use of osseointegrated implants, even if in small quantity, contributed positively to the better adaptation, acceptance, comfort and performance of total removable prostheses. |
