| Summary: | Hiperplasias gengivais, independentemente do volume, podem gerar comprometimento funcional, estético ou restringir trabalhos cosméticos e, tradicionalmente, a eliminação destas alterações é realizada por meio da Gengivoplastia. O presente trabalho apresenta o caso clínico de uma paciente com alterações no contorno gengival devido a pequenos excessos, sobrepondo à junção cemento-esmalte, submetido à técnica de Gengivoplastia por meio do bisturi eletrônico com ponta capilar. Sendo que, transcorrido o período pós-operatório de 90 dias, o aspecto apresentou-se favorável, estético e adequado. O procedimento realizado por meio do bisturi eletrônico demonstrou-se viável, seguro e adequado, não apresentando qualquer restrição ou limitação ao seu uso. |
| Abstract: | Gingival hyperplasias, independently of volume, can generate functional or esthetic impairment, beyond of restrict cosmetics works, and, traditionally, this alterations are eliminated by means of gingivoplasty. That study presents the clinical case of a patient with alterations in the gingival form due to small excesses, overlapping the amelocementar junction, submitted to the technique of gingivoplasty by means of the electronic scalpel with capillary tip. Being that, after the 90 day of postoperative period, the appearance was favorable, esthetic and adequate. The procedure surgical realized by means of the electronic scalpel proved to be viable, safe and adequate, without restriction or limitation to its use. |
