Estudo dos afastamentos por motivo de saúde dos funcionários da secretaria de educação do município de Uberlândia - MG

Abstract

This paper presents a geographical study on the employees from the Education Department of the City of Uberlândia - MG and the removals of their functions by diseases, with the main reasons for these departures and intervention proposals to minimize this situation. The present study was carried out through surveys conducted with official data provided by the Town Hall of Uberlândia - MG regarding absenteeism due to health reasons from January 1, 2016 to October 9, 2017.The objective of this study is to discover which are the main diseases that affect the professionals that need to move away from their functions and to propose approaches to improve the quality of life and work of these people.In the course of this paper, the difference between the actual employees and the employees hired for a limited time by the Uberlândia Town Hall will be explained according to current laws, and the relationship between exhaustive and devalued working conditions and health problems that workers acquire most. To understand the diseases that affect the workers, the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) will be used in this study, and the ten ICDs most used by the actual and contracted employees will be listed in the period of time that this study is based, with a comparison between the ICDs that appeared the most. After the analyzes made in this paper, will be proposed ideas to improve the quality of life of workers of Town Hall of Uberlândia.
