Summary:	O presente trabalho busca a elucidação das consequências jurídico-processuais da quebra de cadeia de custódia em sede do processo penal. A análise contextualiza tal debate dentro das estruturas e noções fundamentais de processo no Estado Democrático de Direito – em especial sistema acusatório, verdade processual e juridicidade probatória – com a devida fundamentação legal de todos os raciocínios jurídicos empregados.
Abstract:	This study aims to elucidate the legal and procedural consequences of the chain of custody for breaking into the headquarters of the criminal proceedings. The analysis contextualizes such a debate within the fundamental structures and notions of process in the Democratic State of Law - specially accusatory system, procedural truth and evidentiary juridicity - with due legal justification of all legal reasoning applied.
