Análise econômica de engorda e recria de tilápias (Oreochromis niloticus)

Abstract

Fish farming in Brazil has been growing exponentially, showing great potential and strong results regarding the final product supplied to the consumer. In order to provide a reality in the comparison of investments in the cycles of rearing and fattening in tilapiculture, the present work intended to elucidate economic viability items for possible investment strategies in both productions. In this work, we used the costs of productivity in the rearing and fattening of tilapia, making it possible to carry out cost, revenue and cash flow surveys in a horizon of 5 years of activity, which generated numbers that provided the data economic viability that were compared for rearing and fattening, aiming to promote the best sector for investment. It was possible, given the values found, to demonstrate that both rearing and fattening have great attractiveness and economic viability for the market, with greater benefits in the fattening investment that provided better results.
